St. Martha Institute of Nursing has well established laboratory to provide professional training to the students. The college has organized Nursing laboratories equipped with latest technology equipment which will provides a leading edge to students in providing health care services to the patients. The Labs are as follows;- All classrooms and Lecture hall are designed to provide comfortable and conducive environment for learning and are equipped with modern teaching aids. This lab is prepared to reinforce the theory knowledge about human anatomy and physiology with the help of particular skeletal, various bones models and charts. This lab ensures the students to learn home visiting bag technique and practice the community health nursing while providing family health care at door step of the clients using modified home visiting kits. The lab is equipped with variety of audio-visual material to practice health teaching in the community . Students are trained in Basic Nursing procedures and advanced procedures. This lab consists of cots with mattresses, charts, mannequins, advanced nursing models, instruments and articles necessary for procedures demonstration. Students are trained in advanced nursing skills and also the lab is designed to help the learner to reinforce the learning about normal physiology of pregnancy, midwifery, obstetrics and child health nursing. It is equipped with various manikins, models palpation models, birthing simulators and charts to develop hands on skills under the continuous guidance as supervision. This lab is well-equipped which facilities students to learn to prepare various kinds of therapeutic diets. This lab is designed to assist the learner to acquire wide range of knowledge of dietetics in Indian settings and to understand the concepts of “Nutrition, Health is Disease’ while planning the diet for individuals and group in the hospital and the community. Computer lab is available with internal facilities for students for research activities. A provision is made to access e-journals. This lab will be used by the students to practice the application of computers in the field of nursing. It is equipped with various kinds of audio and visual aids such as charts, poster, and projectors necessary for purpose of teaching, presentation, seminars, demonstration, workshops and other group activities. The College has adequate library facilities with number of nursing books and other allied science books. The collection of books in library…….. (More than 500) volumes which include latest edition. In addition, the library subscribes to nursing journals as national and International journals as well as up to date magazine and internet facilities. It offers comfortable stay for students with all amenities during their course of study. A well furnished canteen will available at College campus which is open from 8.00 a.m to 8.00 p.m throughout the week which provide tasty and delicious food at subsidized rate at the students, faculty members and other staff.
